Swaeggerific Fried Chicken in Franschhoek is the brainchild of entrepreneur Mbuyiseli Blayi.  The chicken restaurant is a vehicle for community development. It helps fund the internet cafe and also pays for school shoes and sanitary pads which help keep the local children in school. What an honour to be involved in this project

We contracted Wynand to help with a significant renovation project. We had a particular challenge in that we as a family had grown out of our ‘1912 dated vintage house in Irene’ and had to expand, but did not want to lose the old character and charm of the house.

Wynand managed to transform our ideas to something beyond our imagination and successfully married the old with the new, creating open-plan living which supports the lifestyle of a modern family. Friends visiting us will still remark how well the old house charm and the new age lifestyle goes together.

Wynand also remained part of the project and worked in conjunction with the builder, to ensure that his concepts and design materialise as we envisaged

The transformation of a heritage home is such a sensitive undertaking. It must be done with great care and understanding for what the home represents, while accommodating a modern day family in comfort.

The integration of the old into the new holds the potential of something truly inspiring

Working with the Kaplan family on rebuilding their lives after the wildfires of 2017, was a humbling experience. A meaningful project for a deserving family

Building a new home was not something we were planning to do, but after a devastating wildfire took our family home in Plett, we needed to rebuild.  Working with Wynand Tromp of Tromp Architekten has been the biggest silver lining to come out of that natural disaster.

Wynand really listened to our needs. He designed within our budget constraints, and timeously delivered a clever, modern, well thought out, modular design, that we can expand on in the future.  We couldn’t be happier with our new house design.

Not only did Wynand very generously offer his services to us pro bono as fire survivors, he also made himself available over the December holidays to answer our endless questions and patiently reassure us every step of the way

Wynand transformed my office from boring to totally stunning!

By re-arranging the existing pieces Lynne had in her office, we were able to transform the office space from which she runs her PR firm
